Not saying you're wrong but:
Why did you check turn?
Why did you donk bet the river?
Be gentle as I admit to how much I need to learn!
This HH shows my inconsistent play and refusing to believe I'm beat/ convincing myself that the other player must be bluffing.
PF: I'm not sure why I open-limped AJ. I've had AJ 161 times over the 14K hands I've played recently. 7 of those times I've been UTG and have raised 4/7 times. I have to think about this some more.
Turn: I know I need improvement because I don't often have plans for future streets and am just thinking "what do I do now?" I think I'm looking at AJ like set-mining. I didn't hit so I don't want to make the pot too big.
River: Again, not so good at being a thinking player (during the game; in retrospect I do much better ). I guess I donked to see where I stood and to get value from my straight. In which case, I think now that folding to such a large reraise is what I should have done. I guess what I was thinking at the time was: "He's making this huge bet to put me off my hand. I won't let him."
