I figured he probably didn't have 3's in his range besides maybe 33. I kind of put him on an overpair. WHat do you guys think of this hand?

Villians stats were only over 26 hands.

sorry about that format, not sure why it's doing that.

Also, maybe worth noting, I saw him previously 4bet AKo. That was my only note on him.

Just get it in. On this type of board texture, given the preflop and flop action, I'd have to put him on 77 - QQ on the flop. WP.

Looks fine. Shoving the flop is an option too. If he has an overpair he's not folding and an A or K on the turn can kill your action.

yeah, almost did shove on the flop actually. Thought he also could have just thought that board missed my range and may have fired a turn barrel if it was a c/r bluff on the flop. Thinking maybe the shove on the flop would be better if I did have him on an overpair though.

Standard 3bet should be bigger preflop (~.25).

As played shove over his flop raise.

yeah, I usually do make it bigger. I guess I didn't want him folding since I haven't gotten any action with my aces lately (I realize this is bad)

Thanks for the input.

Thanks. I didn't think I did anything different than I normally do, but maybe I did I'm not sure.

Always make the bet bigger than this - don't try and induce calls with lower bet sizes. You're missing out on value. Some times they won't call but that's just too bad - when they do call you're always gonna be in good shape.

I'm with a few of the other guys in thinking you can raise over the top of his flop raise. I'd maybe make it $2 or just shove. From what happens on the turn it looks like he was always wanting to get it in anyway.

Also, when doing the hand conversion, make sure it's going to be converted for phpBB forums. That's the method I always use.

Lol. I almost asked as well ^

But it's barely even relevant given the action and the sample size.

3bet bigger. 3x < 3bet < 4x. Everything else looks ok.

Hmm I used to get an update in "User CP" when a thread was updated that I was apart of, but apparently I don't anymore so I didn't realize I had more responses.

Yeah, my bad about the stats not sure how I missed that. Don't have the hand in front of me but it was something crazy like 40 vpip 30 pfr and also a high 3bet.

Anyway, yeah definitely bigger 3bet and I think I like the shove on the flop as well. He ended up with 99 for the win.

Just wanted to reply so it didn't look like I was ignoring the later people who offered advice, appreciate it. Will be posting more hands soon.

3bet bigger. At least 3x always. On the flop I would probably just re-raise him most of the time. Players at this level are too awful to fold an overpair a lot of the time. I also don't want a big card on the turn that kills my action.
