$3/6 FL HE Full Ring: How many mistakes did I make?

I had A 2 suited. Middle Position in $3-6 hold-em. I called the $3.00 bet. Flop 9 spades, 3 spades, and 7 hearts (I was suited in spades). Five in pot. UTG bet $3.00, next player raised him, and there was another raise. It is now $9.00 to me. I call.

Turn card an Ace Clubs. UTG bets $6.00, two call and one raises. It is now $12.00 to me. I call. River no help. UTG bets $6.00, all players fold, it is not just me and the UTG. I FOLD. The another player said he would have called but thought I would bet so he folded.

Was it up to me to keep him honest? I could have possibly won with high card, and now I regret not calling.

I am pretty new and feel that I mis-played this hand.

Am I right?

You have a pair of Aces not high card and yeah I think you have to call $6 in a ~$115 pot. He doesn't have to be FoS very often.

1) Use a hand converter.
2) Jam the flop.
3) What was the river card?
4) Call the river.

It sounds like you were getting something like 21:1. To put that in perspective, things need to work out like this for this call to be profitable:

Lose, Lose, Lose, Lose, Lose, Lose, Lose, Lose, Lose, Lose, Lose, Lose, Lose, Lose, Lose, Lose, Lose, Lose, Win, Lose, Lose, Lose

So call the river.
