Villain is aggressive and a little on the loose side preflop.

I don't raise preflop because his range contains a whole lot of aces, making me somewhat unlikely to be ahead at that point. Besides, I'm out of position and I don't want to signal strength. Yet.

I raise the flop because of a combination of three things:

1. I have a decent chunk of outs. Two overcards and a backdoor flushdraw means I'm not completely dead in the water.
2. I may well have the best hand.
3. By raising the flop, I may scare off a hand like A-x that missed when I lead the turn.

I don't make this play often. When I get 3-bet on the flop, I'm likely up against a big ace (AK) or an overpair, or a hand like K-9 or similar. I very much doubt I'm ahead and he's just being silly with JTo. No way am I folding the flop, but it's time to let go on the turn, yes?

Agreed to letting go on turn.

This is one thing I think is real tough in LHE and requires solid hand reading skills aswell as postflop skills, and that is the weird late position wars that go on with the blinds and CO or button. I've lost loads trying to steal or resteal

Your flop play was nice and aggressive; you could be driving away Ax like you said, then after he 3-bet you're getting 9.33:1 (i believe) to call which is easy with your ~6 outs (how many would you count here, FP - backdoor flush + unclean overs?). Turn you're only getting 6.17:1 which doesn't seem enough to be calling with as he's shown pretty good strength and I'm starting to think he's got TT or something like it.

I can honestly say I'd be afraid to play you in FLHE

How about this?: Check-call the flop AND either bet the turn OR check-raise the turn.

Maybe I'm wrong at 3/6 since I play 1/2, but many times the BB will call a PF raise with something like A7-suited. If you raise those 7's on the turn, he might think you hit trips and laydown. Maybe it's not worth wasting 2 Big Bets like that. Also, I know it was too late since you already check-raised the flop. But I like to wait and check-raise bluff the turn since it carries more meaning.

Maybe I'm wrong. Just a thought.

I'd figure about 4 outs after he re-raised. AA will kill my overcard outs completely sometimes, and KK/QQ will halve them. AK/AQ will halve them as well, but JJ/TT they will be completely live. The flushdraw I figure to be mostly live (sure he could have the Ac, but not often and when he does, my other outs often turn "more" live).

I call the 3-bet always though, because checkraising the flop and folding to a 3-bet is really, really bad for my table image. I don't bother much with meta-game in online limit hold 'em, but here, I will pay one more bet. The odds are close to being OK, too, and they're mostly okay if you factor in implied odds and that I'm sometimes (albeit rarely) still ahead.

I usually re-pop this preflop given your descrip. of villian. as played, please fold to flop 3-bet, you're never ahead here and you have basically no fold equity on later streets.

How many outs do you figure I have if I'm going to fold to a 3-bet?

I would guess that you probably have 3 outs. AK, AQ, KK, QQ, all seem viable, i suppose peeling one here isnt that horrible, but if I hit a pair it might get tricky. You can either call down or raise/fold to 3-bet.
