40/0/0 is very loose passive and now he's raising your flop bet? He could figure that you're not strong and be trying to take the pot with that flop raise from in position. The fact he limped from middle postion likely indicates he's not super strong either, but I'd be concerned about the two squares on the flop (;) I guess those are supposed to be diamonds).

With TPGK, I would re-pop it to $3.75 and probably fold to a four bet as that would be way out of line for his current stats and I'd say we are likely beat. I don't like flat calling because he could easily be semi-bluffing on a diamond draw. And if he did hit a set, we're probably going to then lead the turn for more to find out.

If I understand this, your saying that villians stats indicate that he's a passive player, and if this is so then would not a passive player just call the flop bet?
If thats the case, villian's bet tells me he has 2pr or a set and is willing to go broke on this hand because(IMHO) passive players don't usually go over the top of anothers bet unles they have true strength.

I think JD's trying to find out what the unusual raise means by repopping, and folding to a re-re raise.

If I'm him I'll reraise flop bets in position if I think there's a chance the bettor is doing so with less that TP with decent kicker. I just wasn't sure if this passive of a player would make that play.
