Only my third hand at the table so no reads on the villain here as he has not played a hand that I've seen yet. Does villain do this with anything I actually beat?

Your kicker sucks.

Fold unless you have stats that tell you XXXELTOROXXX is full of it.

A9 isn't to smart playing pre-flop unless <4 handed and they are suited. Then you'd be looking for the flush any way.

No, this is actually a fairly standard raise from the Button in an unopened pot, and most would be raising a lot lighter than this, especially 7 handed. As played its an easy fold unless you have a read that villain is a total moron.

Easy fold. You can hardly beat anything. top pair with a bad kicker is a bad hand.

Or put it another way...if villain here is betting that hard into you with something you CAN beat... well... he should be really easy to take money from later.

Don't mind the raise at all. Have position and are easily ahead of the range of hands ahead of you. Of course that changes with the action and betting. There's no flush draw, so no one's semi-bluffing a pair with a flush draw, and I don't see any hands that take this line that you beat. KQ maybe once in a while, but doubtful. I think this is 2 pair a lot of the time actually, trying to get the money in before another bad card comes and puts 4 to a straight. I'd say it looks like a set but with the high cards it doesn't exactly fit the preflop action unless maybe he had TT and didn't 3-bet it. Think you're hardly good ever here, and especially with no reads it's an easy fold.

BTW, villain plays this badly. He should definitely go for a check-raise on your c-bet. Be happy you get our for cheap.

Meh, your beating KQ and ace rag. I don't think our hand is strong enough to stand up to this sort of action, its a pretty standard fold.

Oh Zach, I love flatting 1010 from the blinds here :), and if it wanted a dream flop, this is it.

Yeah I ended up folding this as I was basically looking at this hand as a nice "Steal the blinds hand if possible, use my position if not" situation. I was just really confused by the line that villain took here.
