Been lurking a while, I like the friendly atmosphere, just started posting. I'm a recreational player, but I like to study and read books, trying to improve my game. Bankrolled for 25NL, grinding it out until I can move up.

Second orbit at the table, no reads. Comments on all streets welcome.

Easy fold. With such a vulnerable hand and having made 2 pair, I'd bet more on the turn ($5). With the river action, your flush is no good.

well that's a toughy, hmmm, just wondering how come u didn't bet more on turn, but me personally i would pesonally have bet big on turn and if that still got called, then i would just check on river if it's a club because 8 high flush ain't that strong, so i would fold also fold on river.
But that's just me

I dunno, that's a big pot there (3/1 odds, if of course you dont get re-raised), you have got a flush and opponents will have to have 2 clubs to beat you. 9 on the river makes a straight for 67 and JQ (and 7J but that's a less likely holding).

It's the UTG+1 guy i'm worried about, he's got no fold equity over the UTG guy, so must be bringing something, and if it's a flush it will be better than yours.

3/1 odds, i'd have probably closed my eyes and called, you dont need to get this right everytime to make a profit, but i'd have been surprised if i'd won.

I'd call. Odds of this one having 2 clubs, including a 9, J, Q, or A is slim. Not having proper reads on this table makes it questionable though. This is poker though. I'd have to call him out.
