Not the ideal place to post this as I'm giving the whole hand history.

Sometimes I get the feeling that $25NL at Tilt plays like $10NL or lower at Stars.

I'm working on my short stack play at both sites. Here I've doubled up and am planning to leave when I get to the blinds when I pick up JJ.

One thing about SS hit and run, you don't get reads on players until you've seen them at more than one table.

3 callers, SB pots the flop. I read this as 2 pair or better, or an overpair of unknown size. One player yet behind me, I don't have a short stack to shove so I fold.

Seat 7: Initech (big blind) folded on the Flop

Apparently Josman reads the players better than I do. Or is my fold just plain weak?

ah shit hit the back button and deleted my post.

but basically w/ only 40bbs behind you i wouldnm't be folding here. donking into a flop like this, which misses the range of most big hands, isn't typically a big hand. qq+ isn't likely at all given preflop and 76/77/66 etc probably isn't giong to donk into a flop where everybody could easily have missed (c/r would make more sense). in general it's a good idea to treat donking on a flop of akt etc with much more respect than a flop of 442 or 736 or something, because in the former case the flop probably hits your range very hard, yet villain is still wanting a big pot, but in the latter it is often an attempt to cheaply steal the pot since many hands bricked the flop.

Yeah, my reading of this level isn't the greatest.

QQ+ "should" 3 bet preflop with this many hands in, but that's not always the case at this level. But if I have 2 pair/set in the SB I probably donk hoping for an overpair to raise, especially with this many in the pot I don't expect the PF raiser to c-bet if he's missed.

I didn't expect someone who only paired the flop to try to take it, OOP with 4 in the hand. :(

Don't fold.

EDIT: I don't think I need to write more, because its that simple. You're 40bb's deep with an overpair. GET ALL IN!!!!

Results too soon!

But ya, clear shove to me. QQ+ reraises pf, and two pair/sets don't lead near often enough for us to fold.

Yeah, I think I'm used to playing up to 25 BBs deep, or 100, but in between I think I'm lost.

One thing about SS hit and run, you don't get reads on players until you've seen them at more than one table.

One thing about FTP is that you can datamine it for as long as you want before you join the table. There's no reason whatsoever to play without at least some stats on the players.

Good point. Most of my play has been at Stars.

But my HEM doesn't seem to be datamining anymore. Anyone else have that problem recently? Maybe I need to download an update to go with Tilt updates?

Don't know about HEM, but with PT3, even on PS you can datamine 30 hands before joining a table now.
