I had been on this table for awhile but ML had not been there long. Feel free to give me feedback on my bet sizes. Post flop looks a little dinky in retrospect but that board was a bit spooky and a bit enticing too lol.

btw - I changed my thread title from $5 to $25 lol.

Before the flop I was the first to act and I thought 5xbb would be good - let me know if you think differently.

Post-flop I knew I could be behind but he only called my pre-flop raise. So I think my bet was about 2/3 of the pot.

TBH I was at a loss on the turn. I knew I was beat and there is no reasonable explanation for the size of my bet.

$6.15 in a $19 pot is pretty cheap with the outs you have. I've gotta wonder how many of them are live though...

AK, KT and TT are the hands you're most concerned about, and FWIW they seem the most likely candidates. Slowplayed AA is a lot less likely but also possible. They'd have been a bit worried on that flop but feeling very confident now.

Also, you've bet all three streets so villain has to be putting you on a pretty solid hand (likely stronger than what you've got) and can't seriously be expecting you to fold for just $6.15 more.

Screams boat to me, not a great deal else makes sense. QJ for the straight surely would've raised the flop or not at all. A made flush might've slowplayed the flop, but there aren't a lot of convincing possible hands. We know J9 is the highest two spades he could possibly be holding and is he really cold calling 5BB preflop with something like that?

The more I think about it, the more we're not just behind but drawing very, very slim. Time to cut our losses and fold IMO.

The only hands that really make sense are boats and (maaaybe) a lower made flush or JQ... Maybe KQ

Preflop I might actually prefer a CRAI to betting out but betting out isn't horrible. If he checks it through you can get away on that turn easier and/or see a cheaper river.

Sounds like you aren't sure what you were doing with the $3 turn bet either .

This looks like a fold... we just do horribly against his range, alot of it we only have the royal out going for us.

Well, you tried your damnedest to give yourself odds to call after the turn, but it's still not enough. You're close to 0 EV even if he never has a FH, flush, or straight. If he's shoving, I think he has one of those hands pretty often.
