1st i like a raise to $4 here considering the number of people in the hand and if you said $5 i'd understand that action too.

2nd You're in an absolute WA/WB (way ahead or way behind) situation. I like the check.

Turn: Might be a place to test the waters but i like the check

River: As played i think you have to call this. Debate people? He probably shows up with an A here but this guy might have JJ, QQ, 78, TT, 99 ... a lot of possibilities.

Good point about the preflop raise sizing, I missed that although I have to agree that it should be larger especially since I'm out of position.

On the river I'm getting about 2 1/2 to 1. I'm assuming that he either has a really big hand like a set or an ace with a large kicker, or is bluffing with air, or a hand he thinks won't be good at showdown. I don't really think he would be making such a large value bet with something like QQ or JJ here, although I could be wrong, I dont have any significant reads on this guy other than his stats.

Given the action, pretty sure you have to call this on the river unless you have a specific read. He's easily doing this with a lot more than an Ace, specifically like QQ/JJ/TT. He very well could also be turning worse hands with showdown value in to a bluff thinking he can get you to fold a lot of your mid pair type hands.

Other than that, I think the hand was played pretty well.
