Flop:

Some information about the hand: I wasn't too happy to see the BB call the button re-raise. BB was really nitty at 5/2/8 out of 70 or so hands. I decide to re-raise, which fortunately isolates us. The flop is really nasty and I have to decide what to do. This guy is pretty tight, and i'm either way ahead or way behind it looks like...

4-bet way larger, pot sized is 7.70, but I'd make it at least 8-9 to go. Check the flop.

4-bet larger PF to like $8 (I actually wouldn't mind just shoving this after the 3-bet gets called). As played, check the flop, call a turn bet, and decide what to do on the river if bet in to.

This^

You are like never ahead here against a 5/2/8 on that flop. Hopefully you both have KK for a split and it gets checked down.

Raise larger pre.

Assuming we were deep enough (we aren't), our plan postflop should be to check call 1 street against a nit, two streets against a normal player, three streets against a spewtard only.

Thanks for the input.

Turn:
* * 8♣
* * BB bets [$8]
* * Hero ???

At this point I'm pretty much thinking that all I can beat is a bluff. I can either check, call, or raise. A call would leave me about $10 behind, so if I am contemplating a call, wouldn't a raise all in be a better?

Just fold turn. With this tight of player his range is basically QQ, KK, AA, AK all of which beat you except the unlikely KK which you split. So imo, it's an easy fold.

The real problem is that like others have said, you 4Bet wayyyyy too small and it puts you in an awkward position postflop.

No. Hands you beat (KQ, JJ) are not calling a shove. By jamming, you're folding out the hands you want value from & only stacking off with hands that beat you.

IMO, the 2 acceptable lines are calling twice or folding the turn. I'm not a big fan of calling one street and folding on the river when you are so commited. If he's a nit (which seems to be the case) then we need to be folding here. JJ is the only legitimate hand that flats twice, and then bets that board that we beat.

Yep this is a fold. Even if JJ is in his range he's not bluffing with it, so we're never ahead here.

And yes, 4bet more pf.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up folding on the turn. I felt pretty confident I made the right decision, but thought I'd get a little more analysis.
