Looks standard against a fishy half stack.

yep, standard

yes, probably not the most interesting hand of the batch. Was wondering if I should bet more on flop or even consider folding on the turn raise, but i guess i do have to stack here.

Here's how it turned out. I guess he never calls unless we are blind vs. blind.

loada08 shows [9s 2s]
BelgoSuisse shows [Ad Kh]
*** RIVER *** [6s 2d Ks 9c] [Qs]
loada08 shows a flush, King high
BelgoSuisse shows a pair of Kings
loada08 wins the pot ($18.35) with a flush, King high

yeah.. as said absolutely standard.

I don't know if I imagine this or not but I find I get better results if I raise to $1 instead of .75 out of the SB. And I don't just mean in terms of more folds (we want that 92 to call us here!)... I mean that I tend to get a little more respect post flop for some reason.

Might be completely imagining it though, and here it probably wouldn't make much difference.

It amazes me how some people get all crazy over that quarter they already have put out there at times. (crazier than normal for them in alot of cases)

Yeah, and as you suggest, maybe even more so if we raise from SB than from late position.

In theory that should be because the BB will have to play OOP against late postion raises but will be IP against SB, but I suspect it's more psychological; blind verse blind seems more heads-up and more confrontational than a late position raise.
