I was faced with a tough decision here. What would you have done post flop? I had not been at the table too long and no reads on sroj.

I snapcall this. Villain is almost never doing this with a monster. I expect a flush or straight draw here almost always.

Yeah, shoving with a monster doesn't make much sense unless he puts you on a good hand *and* gives you extra credit for recognizing it as a suspicious play.

I'd call, and hope he's not a tard who hit a bigger hand is prematurely ejaculating his chips in the pot.

yea this is an easy call coz the vast majority of players won't shove QJ or a set here. If you are behind, just make a note on said player that "overshoves nuts" and don't make the call if the same situation presents itself again vs the same player.

Or if he's just an idiot who flopped a set and thinks "OMG GET CHIPZ ALLLLLIN".

But I still never fold this. It's KK/combo draws enough, plus QQ/JJ are a bit diminished because of preflop action, so basically 22 is only hand that has you beat plus maybe JJ some of the time.

I call too, FWIW. Some of the time it will be something weird like QJ, but for the most part you should be ahead here. To me it smells a lot like an AQ that thinks it's laid a really clever trap but doesn't want a draw sucking out.

thats why i always say raise big at cash tables..i have lost tons at cash tables..i regret most of the moves that i play with when i get monsters preflop
