Here what do is our line against this villian, he is 35/19/3 over 75 hands. Can this re raise tell us anything about our hand strength or his hand strength?

Probably a couple draws. I'd put him on AJ of diamonds. Call and if both draws miss, bet out again.

This may be really weak, but I probably flat here and try to get to SD. I may get ripped up for this, but the minraise is sort of scary.

the check raise tells me he has a flush draw. Maybe a Q with it. QJ of diamonds? QTd maybe? What is your read of villain? is he tight? loose? maniac? If he's tight and aggressive, AK or AQ might not be out of his range, you have both beat, KK and QQ are unlikely, as he didn't raise or reraise preflop. KQ is another possibility. So are QJ QT of diamonds. Q9o is unlikely for a solid player....

I think you're ahead of most of his likely holdings, and behind with 99 and KQ. I say raise here, and if he pushes you might consider him having KQ and folding, but I think you're still good.

1. that's just a flop raise, not a 3-bet. Or is your question whether or not you should 3-bet?

2. this spot sucks

3. If we were oop it would suck even harder, but since we're in position, I think you flat this and re-evaluate turn/river based on turn/river cards and bet sizing.

This may be really weak, but I probably flat here and try to get to SD. I may get ripped up for this, but the minraise is sort of scary.

I don't love AA with this board. Villain's not necessarily only on a fd, range needs to include the two pair and made straight/sd's as well. Against that range Hero's only 41%.

The problem is getting to SD - if Villain's aggressive, he's going to be able to push me off this hand pretty easily on the turn, in which case I ought to fold right now. Re-raising the flop (2.5x to 3x the min-raise) is an option, but I'll have to fold to a shove I think... but the re-raise may be a cheaper way to get to SD or to a fold then calling all the way...

Not sure I like the re-raise, but I think I like it better than the call - what do you think? Since I don't love AA with the min-raise on this flop, I'm not sure I like calling better than folding, TBH. Yuck - three lousy options...

P.S. In the heat of the moment, I lose a lot of money in this situation because I DO fall in love with my AA in spite of the board and Villain's actions... Easy for me to rationalize when I'm not at the table :D

I like a call because you're in position and I don't think he comes out firing on the turn with worse very often after you call his min raise. So you're likely to see both the turn and river and only have to call 1 more bet.
