Villain is 46/7/.89 after 43 hands. The whole hand was really wierd, Anyways... decided to call the flop bet which i guess is questionable, then hit a set on the turn. What do you think villains range is after his flop overbet and then his small turn bet, and whats the best line against that range?

Id say this is a wa/wb spot and his turn bet looks like a 5 or a 6 that is now scared. I vote call and try to fill up/hit straight flush on the river. If u miss, ur in position so he'd have to be pretty brave to 3barrel without the flush or straight so Id say that a call would have to depend on the size of the bet.

Seeing that it's 25NL on pokerstars, I'm going the opposite way. It being only .55 more to the big stack in the big blind means he could have anything. Ace-rag, suited connectors, or any 2 suiteds could all be possibilites.

His overbet OOP on the flop should mean something. I'd say he has a good hand like TPTK, 2 pair, an overpair, or a set, but not the flush. So he is banking that you didn't flop a flush and wants to discourage you from chasing the flush with one high spade.

Now the exact same betsize on the turn means he's either betting for value or has a second-best type hand and wants to look strong at lower risk. I'd say that if he had something worthless and was scared, he'd either check the turn or overbet again.

Though 66, 55, 44, 77, or something like A7 are likely, that price on the turn is cheap. So I'd call down and hope I have him beat. Most 25NL players play OOP pretty poorly, so you have a good chance that your set of 3's is the best hand.

call and re evaluate river since you have position. Almost 3:1 on the call and I think you are ahead at least once in three times. You also have outs to boat up which could be good or bad if he is holding 45, 56

Yeah I ended up raising which was probably not a great play in the longrun , I think it was a combination of me feeling that his turnbet was weak and I had a case of the zomg OESFD w/ Quad and fullhouse redraw syndrome which overruled all decisions. Not even sure if my value bet on the river would be correct against a somewhat competent player.

Turn: ($6.20) 3:diamond: (2 Players)
BB bets $2.25, Hero raises to $9.10, BB calls $6.85
River: ($24.40) J:diamond: (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $9.25, BB raises to $18.40 and is All-In, Hero calls $9.15
Results: $61.20 Pot ($3 Rake)
Hero showed 3:spade: 3:heart: (three of a kind, Threes) and WON $58.20 (+$27.65 NET)
BB showed A:spade: 6:heart: (a pair of Sixes) and LOST (-$30.55 NET)

once you raise and get called on turn, i would probably just check the river since you dont even have enough chips to make a pot sized bet.
