Both villains are unknown, this is only my second hand at the table. Question is do you like the bet on the turn? What do we do if we get raised? What do we do on the river if we are called?

Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

UTG: $31.69
UTG+1: $25.71
MP: $22.47
MP+1: $25.70
LP: $32.05
CO: $8.75
BTN: $15.04
Hero (SB): $25.00
BB: $8.98

Hero posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero has A:club: A:diamond:

fold, UTG+1 calls $0.25, MP calls $0.25, fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $1.50, fold, UTG+1 calls $1.25, MP calls $1.25

Flop: ($4.75, 3 players) 5:spade: J:heart: 9:spade:

I think I've seen a video where it told me to bet the turn, I know that's not a good enough answer. I'm betting the turn though, if we get raised it's a tricky spot. I think I do bet more on the turn than you have here, makes his raise that much more expensive if he chooses to. I'm not convinced If I fold or shove, calling seems bad.

I think if he just calls, then any non straight/spade river we can bet. Otherwise it's a check/call/fold I think.

I also bet the turn here. Probably make it slightly larger though ~$6.50. Fold if raised on turn. Shove all non-spade rivers.

Keeping in mind that if villain doesn't have the flush here he will now think you do. Given that notion you might have raised lite, like $3.50 or even $3.00 making it look like a value bet. If he fights back tho you just about have to muck.

Editorial comment;
Seeing as it is at FullTilt, I'd say he hit his flush.:(

Yeah, I agree, we have to bet the turn no matter what. I mean villain hasn't shown any aggression in the hand. Open limps, calls the raise, then calls the flop bet. Smells like a middle to small pp he can't get away from or the flush draw. Again, he's unknown. If he actually has a middle or small pp like I thought and a spade, he might call the turn bet, just to see the river.

I also bet the turn here. Probably make it slightly larger though ~$6.50. Fold if raised on turn. Shove all non-spade rivers.

Yeah, I tanked before I put this bet out. I didn't want to make it too big and have him just auto shove me and I didn't want to make it too small either and have him do the same.

I haven't played a lot of hands @ 25nl. On 10nl I know from experience if the bet is too small on the turn, you're getting shoved on.

I like your line of thinking, but I think that's a higher level of thinking than the average 25nl player is thinking. I could be wrong though.

Yeah, I'm OOP with a wet board, I should have potted the flop with or without unknown players in the hand.

if he shoves i call because i am a calling station, i move all in on any none spade river too. can't just give credit to anyone representing a flush.

checking puts you in a tough spot on the turn if he bets. Betting gets value from worse hands/spade draws and if you're raised its an easy fold.
