yes, i call. it's 6max, your raise came from the CO, there's a btn call that almost certainly represents dead money, and shortstackers are dumb

It is a very strange shove indeed. If he had a monster, you'd think he'd want at least some action - no way he's pushing everyone out of the pot here with a huge hand. So yeah, I'd call.

call

definite call for me. Lacking information on the player, my usual assumption is that the BB is trying to steal. A better hand that yours probably doesn't shove from BB here - he re-raises a fair amount to get callers. I would tend to put the villain on AK/AQ or a pair smaller than yours, and call knowing I'm getting at least a coinflip.

I'd call. I don't see him making that move with a hand that has you beat.
It smells like A/Q.
...or worse.

I would lay it down. I don't usually play a 6-max game, and with JJ I know it has more value at this type of table, but I can clearly remember times when I sit down and get KK or AA with my first or second hand, and I usually make this exact play because I figure that somebody will figure I'm some retard, and it works about half the time.

If you call, you are in my opinion, at best, a coinflip. Q-K , A-K, A-Q, QQ, KK, AA are well within the range here. Maybe he was playing a mid pair like TT, 99, or 88. But would you gamble more than 1/2 your stack on that? I'd just wait for more info and be patient. Of course, I'm not a wild gambler at poker.
