Reads: we've been playing LAG (27/24/6). Villain is a great tournament player with relatively little ring experience. He's 31/16/2 who likes to play back on the flop (33% fold to flop bet, 44% raise flop).

Are we deep enough to try a 3rd barrel here? In that light, should I rather shove the turn?

Umm, I cant see villain ever folding here on the river after he calls the turn. He's getting better than 3:1 on the call and hes called a 4bet on the flop and a turn bet. Also, you're turn bet is really small at 1/2 pot. If I'm making a play at this pot I'm just shoving the turn but Im probably not as the 5 definately didn't improve our hand and if he called the flop 4bet hes almost definately calling the turn shove.

So, if I was going to make a play after the flop minraise, I'd bump the flop up to ~10 and then fold to a shove and ch/fold the turn and river barring an A or K comes as villain is just never ever going away once he calls the 4bet on the flop and sees the 5 on the turn and J on the river.

I don't think you're deep enough for this to be effective often. Because of your flop 3bet, I don't think you have enough to chase him off at the river. I think if you're planning on firing 3 here you need to just call his flop raise. This allows both your turn and river AI to be big enough relative to the pot. I doubt 1/2 pot turn and 1/3 pot river bets get it done very often.

Just shove the turn. Altho that's still spew too, cuz no one is folding an overpair at these limits.

As played on the riv, check/calling would be better than shoving, since it allows you to own a broken draw once in a while. No made hand is folding to the J.

Your not getting any better hands to fold here, only thing that beats you that you will get to fold it aqdd-akdd. Giving 3.5-1 on a call.

Plus these hands should shove flop.

nah this is a check fold. Table image is the most important factor in this spot, and lets just say it wasn't conducive to this situation.
