SB is a 45/0/41% over 40 hands or so, who probably can't fold any hand in the small blind.

Wtf do these retarded bets mean? I don't really feel too happy stacking off here, cuz the board is kinda creepy. Thoughts?

SB: $25.11 (100.4 bb)

Hero (BB): $34.04 (136.2 bb)
UTG: $15.28 (61.1 bb)
MP: $24.75 (99 bb)
CO: $6.42 (25.7 bb)
BTN: $27.84 (111.4 bb)

Pre-Flop: Hero is BB with A

2 folds, CO calls $0.25, BTN folds, SB completes, Hero raises to $1.50, CO folds, SB calls $1.25

Hard to say what these bets mean I guess. Could be a draw, or maybe a weak pair or something. Seems there is a whole breed of players that do this, which for some reason tilts the #@$% out of me. They donk then snap call, over and over. I find it often difficult to put these guys on any range whatsoever, for all you know he could have Q6 offsuit here. What I usually try to do against these guys is to try and determine what my hand is worth based on the board texture, and create a pot size based on that.

I dont like reopening the betting on the river though, I think by that point I would just call since the pot is already quite large, and theres a lot of 2 pair combos and J9 just got there. I would rather raise the turn and call the river I think if I had to choose.

I think I prefer raising the turn over raising the river here. Even so I call down here after he calls our flop raise. I dont like re-opening on this board, call his river donk bet. If we re-open there should be no way in hell we can call a raise.

After he calls that flop bet and only bets $.75 on the turn, I'm suspicious and pretty much trying to see the river as cheap as possible. Those 0% raisers like trapping.

I wouldn't have bet the river. If he was drawing and missed he isn't calling. If he hit or has you beat (J/9, T/Q, K/J, a set of T's, etc.) then he'll raise and you've lost more $ than you needed to because you'll have to fold.

Aren't these blocking bets? Obviously he's not doing this for value, he just wants a cheap showdown. And while AK is in his range, I can't see him doing that with this hand. Anyone think I should've raised to more like 8$ on the turn/river?

When 0% players trap, they usually do so by check/raising min right?

why are u calling the turn but raising the river? that doesnt make any sense all with the hand that u got... call river.. possibly raise on turn...

Mostly because I wanted to keep the pot manage-able. I just treated the tiny bet as a check.

To me, the line reads like this:

Flop: Villain checks, Hero value bets.
Turn: Villain checks, Hero checks.
River: Villain checks, Hero value bets.

The fact that he's putting out tiny bets instead of checking & putting in $0 is pretty much the same. That's the same line I'd take when I was playing pot control with TP2K. And instead of betting the river for 60% of the pot or so, I subtracted out the sum of his tiny bets. Hence the small river raise.
