No reads on villain since he just joined the table. Do I have any options here?

Yea, not much u can do here. I just fold unless villain is extremely spewy. If villain is really an extreme maniac you can ship this in here, but otherwise just get rid of it.

Yeah you were boned there. I'd have played it out just the same. A friend of mine would have probably shoved all in preflop, which is nice, because you don't have to worry about it postflop, but I'm just not that cavallier with my AKo or AKs for that matter. You just have to go quietly into the night there.

Even though your in position here I can't see your AK being good here too often. At best you may chop. What is he really calling your 4-bet with? AK or TT+ I say. So I reluctantly fold here.

I think you guys under-estimate how much fold equity we have here. The flop is super dry, and we're in a button-BB battle. If this guy 3-bets with regular frequency, and is aggressive, I don't mind shipping this at all. But vs. an unknown, fold is probably best.

I agree vs unknown the fold is best. Going out on a limb, I am going to say Villian has JJ (if I could only guess one hand). I may have not reraised to $6 preflop, I would call with position on the flop and evaluate from there.

what about floating the flop bet and shoving any card provided villain does not double barrel? don't we have the same FE but a cheaper cost when villain double barrels and we get out?

This relies on the fact that he's going to stop bluffing, which, um, I think is going to happen a lot less than you think. Hoping an opponent gives up is something I rarely do, especially in a 4-bet pot. The more money went in preflop, the spewy-er players tend to get. So I think floating is going to have a hella low success rate.

At $25NL 6-max I don't remember too many people 3-betting with without a top 4 hand. ...and he called a 4-bat. I think you're crushed here, and I'd be happy with laying down the hand, assuming he had an over pair.

well first of you made a horrible mistake reraising after you got reraised the smart thing would be to call and 9 times out of ten i have found that if you get reraised with AK that you are normally up against a PP in that case in any situation its a coin flip and you would have not gaven away 6 dollars and to answer your ? to the flop bet FOLD.
