Good flop to two barrel? Good river card to fire 3? Too stationy to bet a lot?

Well in general you really don't want to go crazy against someone who floats this wide and goes to showdown this often, but a) we don't have enough hands to assume the numbers are all that accurate and b) this is a pretty good spot (esp on river) after betting the previous streets. I like, but I often ch/f the turn unless he has shown a tendency to float flops and give up on the turn and/or riv. Basically, this guy looks like a station to me, but this is a pretty decent spot to do this even against a guy this loose imo.

I'm also tanked, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

what happened btw?
I don't know, because the results don't matter.

A weak ace is not getting through 2 streets of betting. That's not in his range. I'm looking to fold middle pairs (77-TT) and weaker jacks which are in his range.

i don't really love the turn bet against a guy this stationy cause he's not folding any pair he called with on the flop when the turn comes a total blank. of course there's the hope that he just floated with something unpaired, but he's not so much of a station preflop and post that it'll be the case all that often. he's actually not all that loose preflop, so once he calls pre and then on the flop i'd say pocket pairs (including sets) make up a ton of his range, and of course some strong Js

but once you fire the turn and this river hits, i like the third barrel since he can't call with any small pocket pair that didn't make a set, and he might even fold a J

I think that, whatever the board looks like, 3-barreling is not a good strategy at 25NL unless you have a ton of history on a specific villain to justify it.

See, I find that two barreling and never 3-barreling is a weaker play. So many villains just want to see all the cards come out, and if you bet the river, you'll get folds.

I don't know. I guess I should check my PT stats and see how often a 3-barrel is called. Do you have those numbers yourself?
