At first, I agreed with the consensus and thought an all-in was good.

However, I looked at this hand some more, and I have changed my mind. Looking at the betting pattern, I think you are behind at the moment. But, you would win if you hit your flush. However, if your opponent has hit already, you have two fewer outs. I would just call here and see what comes on the turn. If you get no help, you may consider getting out of this hand, as painful as that sounds.

I think it's a snapcall. With a lose villain, you might be ahead, and if your not ahead, you have plenty of outs.

Aggression on a monotone board is scary even coming from this guy. That being said, if he overvalues hands at all, I'm just not letting this go. I'll make it ~ $12 to go and call off a shove.

I saw him do this with A9, so pretty much any ace is his range. Wouldn't we want to get it in here for value?

Assuming he's calling a shove with any ace (is he?), then sure. I'm just questioning the "we have a good hand therefore we shove" line of thinking.

Ok full story, as I remember his previous hand now. He had played a hand the same way, had AJ on a flop of AKx and called a shove by a guy with AK. I figured his range heavily favored having a weaker ace so I shoved. The reason being that I thought that maybe another diamond on the turn would kill my action and I wouldn't get value out of a hand like AJ. After the hand though, I questioned if that was the correct move. If he had been willing to stack off with AJ on a AKx board, then I highly doubt that another diamond would scare him off so I could still get value if I hit the nut flush. Yet if I was behind, it would save me some bets if I didn't hit.

as you said any ace a5 a6 is well in his range why not just control the pot untill your sure your ahead what if he has the flush already just because he is loose doesnt mean he doesnt hit big sometimes remember rule 1 control your losses
