$25 NL HE Full Ring: TP + gutshot facing flop reraise after ISO

Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 71/11/1

over only 30 hands. What are we ahead of here ?
Is TP +Gs enough to ship it in here or do we prever to call and see a turn ?
or do we assume it's a set and dump it here ?

Hero (SB): $25 (100 bb)
BB: $25.58 (102.3 bb)
UTG+2: $51.63 (206.5 bb)
MP1: $24.40 (97.6 bb)
MP2: $21.62 (86.5 bb)
MP3: $53.30 (213.2 bb)
CO: $23.28 (93.1 bb)
BTN: $66.24 (265 bb)

Pre-Flop: Hero is SB with 5:diamond: A:spade:
4 folds, CO calls $0.25, BTN folds, Hero raises to $1.25, BB folds, CO calls $1

Flop: ($2.75) A:diamond: 3:club: 4:spade: (2 players)
Hero bets $2, CO raises to $8.75, Hero doesn't like fish sticks

1) Why raise preflop? Being OOP against a player who will do strange crap with a hand that doesn't flop well isn't fun. I just muck this preflop without thinking about it. Only way this is good is if Villain folds to like 90% of c-bets. Which leads me to my next point...

2) If Villain is a fit or fold type player with a high fold to c-bet %, then this should be a pretty standard muck. Problem is we have almost enough equity to call/shove, but not quite. We're OOP, and the fish is obviously willing to play for stacks. And since lots of better aces are in his range, I just dump this.

But yeah, basically, fish are going to randomly do weird stuff. They'll often spazz out on a flop like this with a hand like 45. And obviously they'll do this with the nuts. Since they're going to be doing so much weird crap postflop, you want your decisions to be easy. And raising A5o in the small blind makes your decisions for the rest of the hand really hard unless you c-bet and he folds. So next time, set yourself up for easy post-flop decisions. Raise in position with hands that make your decisions easy.

muck it preflop, being OOP sucks but being OOP with A rag sucks even more.

As played I just muck it, iv seen alot of players limp calling small PP's at 25nl and his re raise is almost 4.5 so I think he must have a hand here.

Also c9 does he warrant the fish tag after only 30 hands? He may actually have had some hands.

You are right, he's probably the worst player to do this against with 75% limp/call and 30% fold to cbet.

And jurn even with 30 hands being 71/11 is still pretty bad (preflop anyway) he had 67% limp and 58% call open in those 30 hands.
