UTG+1: $22.96
MP: $28.87

BB: $25.00
Hero (UTG): $45.45

SB posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25, CO posts DB $0.25

Pre Flop: ($0.60) Hero has 8:heart: 8:spade:

Hero raises to $1.10, UTG+1 calls $1.10, fold, CO raises to $10.00 and is all-in, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold

UTG+1 shows Q:spade: K:diamond: ()
CO wins $3.65

I want to call cause I find most shortstackers shove with any ace and any pp but i dont know. i folded cause i figured it was the safest play. This is first time i have seen him so no idea how he plays

Assuming UTG+1 always folds, you need about 42% odds to make the call. That's the equity you have against 88+,AT+. Any wider range and you're profiting.

There's a pretty decent chance he's shoving that wide here, considering he posted the BB out of turn.

Don't show results, but I call these shoves retardedly wide. 77+, AJ+? Maybe wider?

id call, you have CO covered here, with a pocket pair. Overtime a fold like this makes you seem weak

imo vil isnt playing AA or KK like this (especially first hand), maybe not even QQ, so i feel like they can be excluded from his 3b shove range.

88 vs 22-QQ (excluding 88) or any A gives you 61% equity, and i think thats a fair assumption.

if you wanna give him a little bit of cred, i think you can narrow his range to 22-77, 99-QQ, A9s+, ATo+, for which you still have 55% equity

snap it off erryyyyday

Because he his new at the table, i have no information about him, i would tend to fold, because i have to assume, it´s a coin flip or im beaten 20:80.

you need to get pokerstove asap so that you estimate equities better, imo.
