Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 25/21/3

Ok, so I know I could've played this differently... this Villain 3bets 12,8% percent of the time over 1k+ hands. I should've gotten it in PF or at least 4b. On the flop, I could've slowed down. But although I played it as aggro as I could, was this a bad play at all? I looked at a few numbers using the Stove (and putting in the exact hands, instead of his range), and I was ahead 54% on the flop, only 34% (or something like that) on the turn. If I'm not mistaken I only needed 24%, which means that I didn't mess this hand up as much as it seems... What are your thoughts? Were my calculations right?

I would only be playing this hand with such aggression against someone who is likely to fold without a very strong hand. You know he has a piece given he is leading out with only a 3% AF, especially after getting 3 bet PF. As such, I really would prefer to flat his bet and try to catch as cheap as possible.

+1. I agree. I don't understand our re-raise on the flop with so many outs and him leading. I would of much rather flat and hope I hit and hope that he hangs himself. I think we could of got away or atleast seen the turn for cheaper.

Get it in pre. I probably shove the flop. Check the turn. None of these moves are bad, but they just show a lack of thought process.

Thanks for the input! My aggression was too high and yes, I might've not put enough thought into what he had... probably because of his high 3B% and my strong draw... anyway on to the next.

I'd just call the flop. Allows you to probably call a smaller turn bet, and be able to see both turn and river without playing for your entire stack if you miss...

Another way to play it is to re-raise pre, and then open for the pot on the flop. But choosing to just call the 3-bet preflop and then check-raise the flop is super awkward

I think this is quite OK actually. You are OOP so check calling isn't all that great. Arguably you can just chkraise shove and be done with it, your equity here is good.

If you know what you know now (he is too stupid to fold :D) then I suppose you can station and just stack him with the obvious nut flush.

Just note that he doesn't fold TPTK ever for any price and stack him every time you beat that.

BTW yeah if he 3bets that much then 4bet here and call a shove.

Flatting pre is legit when you have position. OOP you should 4-bet.

Two moves I see, either just flat or what you have done is both good.

He was just lucky you didnt get your draws. You were even ahead preflop.
