I felt like he already hit the straight on the turn. Getting over 2:1 though, is this still callable?

We would be very foolish not to call this.
Theres plenty of jacks he could think he's been slowplaying and most off all theres the busted flush draws which will all likely bluff here.

I think on the flop and turn you should have made bigger bets as its a drawy board, pot it on both streets next time and jump for joy when he shoves.

Idk, I was pretty torn by this hand. Would he really be slow playing just a jack on a drawy board? I mean, I had a legit hand and bet because of the drawy board, it doesn't make sense for him not to do the same. Also, I feel like most people would have raised at some point with the jack to define their hand better. I'm showing a lot of strength firing on all streets.

I basically put him on a set, straight, or busted flush draw, and elected not to call. I would be very interested to hear others' opinions on this.

Also, his low AF and high VPIP factored into my decision. They were over 100 hands, so fairly reliable. I had mostly seen him folding or just calling, so I figured he had to have something when he shoved.

Bluff are far the bigger element of his range but yes, look at his stats he's a moron of course he's capable of doing this with a jack.
but ye most the time I think this is a bluff.
We need him to be bluffing 30% of the time to make a profit here and I think he's sitting there with unmatched clubs or a pair he's turned into a bluff enough for this to be the case.

I would have called this everyday of the week. I mean, you say he may have a set? Why would a set just push allin on the river like that where he probably is only getting a call when beat. I think a slow played set would check that river and be upset that he did slowplay.

yeah I guess I was being nittish, probably should have called.
a set does make sense though, since likely candidates for our possible hands do not include 6s. if I had a set there in his spot, I would shove too just to make it look like a bluff, and we're probably getting a call.
I do agree now though that I probably gave the villain too much credit.

I guess part of the problem was that I was playing above my bankroll and thus scared :(.

thanks guys

omgz i hit my set on teh rivers arrrrr in

Just because we can think using intelligent poker logic doesn't mean our villain can. 55 is still in his range, although not enough for us to fold Aces.
