Why are you checking the flop? With a flush draw out there and a top pair best kicker, bet it.

I agree with t1riel why are you checking, you should have bet the flop trying to slow play the K K with the flush out there is not a good move.

Depending on how aggressive this guy is, he could just be doing another continuation bet. I can't tell what the suits are for some reason, but if the turn didn't give a 3rd card towards the flush its also possible that hes betting a flush draw.

As far as what I would do, well....if this is his first cbet over a decent amount of hands then I would have to put him on JJ,QQ,KK,AA,AK,AQ. Of those hands you will (obviously) only beat the JJ and chop with AK. In other words, I would cut my losses. Raising here won't accomplish anything unless you're trying to get him off of a flush draw.

c/r flop?

really? thats an awful idea

hes gonna fold his JJ and other random AQ type hands and only play AK, KK, AA, and QQ

so check calling gets us cheaper showdown and can let him continue bluffing into us

at triel: i dont have KK i have AK

I cbet flop 95% of the time. As played, call turn, ch/f river to any decent bet.

I agree with everyone- a check on the flop is a bad bad idea. You go from top pair top kicker to possibly haveing to fold to trip queens. If an ace,J, or 10 hit instead of the queen you have to watch the straight on top of the flush. You have to bet that hand on the flop.

Well I would probably fire out a bet here, if you get a raise from thtt player he most likely has a big hand, depending on the information you have on him.

Personally I might have even re-popped him pre-flop to test the strength of his hand, but not this guy who seems pretty tight.

And I don't understand why people are saying check raise here, or trap here, your hand is not that strong. If you check raise and get a fold; that's a good thing. There's a lot of draws out there, not many good cards that could come for you.
