i knew how stupid this fold was going to be. but there are several reasons for why i decided to play this hand like this.

more appropriate bet sizes would be like $8 3bet flop. around $10 on turn. and call/shove river.

but i was betting smaller because i didn't want him to fold to my 3bet on the flop. given his stats 320 hands, VP 14, PFR 8 and 30% postflop aggression overall. 20% turn aggression. but if he had good draws like Ace high flush draw he would probably still call my big bets on the flop and turn. and when another heart falls on the river i didn't want to regret betting big knowing that he was on a draw and there was a good chance he would get there.

Your bet sizing is terrible. And not just in this hand. It's a major issue for you and it's costing you money. Fix it.

Also we bet to make drawing players make a mistake by calling. If they get there or not is irrelevant. You forcing them to make the mistake is ALL that matters. Betting smaller so you don't feel so bad about folding when the scary card hits is a horrible way to make any money.

On the turn you should already bet at least 3/4 pot otherwise you giving villain odd to call.

Your thinking about not wanting to build a pot is flawed and indicative you are playing with scared money. I suggest you move back down.
You should always be wanting to build a big pot with the nuts.
Bet as big as you think they will call, and if they are fishy then the bigger the better as they make bigger mistakes

U woke up on the wrong side of the bed buddy? :)

Nah. He knows it was bad in this hand and I and others have mentioned it in a few other threads prior to this one being posted. My post was meant as advice not a rant.

Actually, I think you should stick to humor :p

Yes, raise flop much larger and bet turn larger, villain has a lot of broadway in his preflop raising range.
