There is nothing more embarrassing losing to a fish but even worse is when he spews his money to a good reg a couple hands later. I thought I felt comfortable playing him so I raised pf to try to iso. After a flop cbet I was thinking he didn't have an ace but maybe a 10 or qj of clubs so with another ace on the turn I bet hard again and was c/r and now I had no idea where I stood. Did I bet too much on the flop or turn? Maybe the turn I should have just checked behind? And after I was c/r I should've expected a river shove with whatever came down so if I was going to call the raise I should have been prepared to call the river, at least if it was anything but a club?

Always appreciate thoughts/advice

There's nothing embarrassing about losing to a fish unless you made poor decisions and/or out-thought yourself.

After a flop cbet I was thinking he didn't have an ace
Why? If he has a decent A or Ax suited, how does check-calling both streets not fit? He's a passive player which lessens the probability he'd donk the flop with these hands. Your range does include better aces but also quite a few hands with no A that you'd cbet.

but maybe a 10 or qj of clubs so with another ace on the turn I bet hard again and was c/r and now I had no idea where I stood. Did I bet too much on the flop or turn? Maybe the turn I should have just checked behind? And after I was c/r I should've expected a river shove with whatever came down so if I was going to call the raise I should have been prepared to call the river, at least if it was anything but a club?
When you bet the turn, you're repping a stronger range than your actual hand. When you get check-raised, even small, and call, your hand is mainly a bluff catcher. Unless the river is a 9, calling if he bets the river is pretty hopeful. So basically, you're calling his c/r with a 2-outer plus the hope he won't bet the river AND can't beat the hand you've over-repped.

its obvious he has an ace you should have folded on the flop

When he check/call on the flop, I think he has either AK/AQ. I think you should just check behind on the turn. Likewise, when he check raised you on the turn, it really shows he has strong hand.
