Villain (UTG+1): $51.14 (VPIP: 26.05, PFR: 12.61, 3Bet Preflop: 3.03, Hands: 121)
UTG+2: $10.69 (VPIP: 25.20, PFR: 14.17, 3Bet Preflop: 1.92, Hands: 128)
MP: $29.49 (VPIP: 18.54, PFR: 15.36, 3Bet Preflop: 8.29, Hands: 538)
SB posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25
Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero has A:club: A:heart:
Hero raises to $1.10, UTG+1 calls $1.10, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold
I put in a standard raise and get flatted by the +1. I'm really glad that didn't cause a few others to come along pre. I generally pick a standard pre flop raise and stick with it for the session to keep from giving off betting tells. Is this a good idea?
Flop: ($2.55, 2 players) 2:diamond: J:club: 8:club:
Hero bets $2.00, UTG+1 raises to $5.27, Hero calls $3.27
I continue and I'm a little surprised to get raised on this board, which makes me suspicious. However, villain could be putting me on a couple high cards with no draw and expecting me to go away. I put the villain on a lower pocket pair or AJ, and while 88 and JJ are in the range, I don't feel it's likely that I'm beat here and his range is pretty polarized I believe. I thought about raising here, but opted for the conservative route since I have some redraw outs with a good turn card if I happen to be behind.
Assigned range: 77+, AJ, (possibly, JT+,T9)
Turn: ($13.09, 2 players) 5:club:
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $8.72, Hero calls $8.72
This is an excellent card here and I know the villain will bet here a lot so I check. I thought about raising all-in here though. Should I be raising here in most situation with the nut draw and overpair? At point, I feel that the villain definitely has a pocket pair, possibly with a club, but is drawing to only 2 outs. AJ is likely out here since I have the A:club:.
River: ($30.53, 2 players) J:spade:
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $36.05 and is all-in, Hero calls $16.36 and is all-in
Not the greatest card, but I'm not going anywhere. I'm thinking I should probably be shoving here in most situations with the way that I played the turn and the amount of money in the pot. However, I don't think I can fold her since the only hands that I can my opponent on that beat me are JJ,88 and AJ, of which two of those hands are extremely unlikely.
[spoil]UTG+1 shows 4:diamond: 4:heart: (Two Pair, Jacks and Fours) (Pre 19%, Flop 8%, Turn 2%)
Hero shows A:club: A:heart: (Two Pair, Aces and Jacks) (Pre 81%, Flop 92%, Turn 98%)
Hero wins $59.74
[/spoil]
What do you think? The result here turned out great, but I want to be able to put myself in the best situations over the long term to see good results here.
Thanks!
