$25 NLHE Full Ring: 54s vs. reraise and big bets after a call preflop
Hey everyone -- Here's a hand that I have been analyzing and I'd love to get some feedback here as to how I can be better in these situations.
MP+1: $12.32 (VPIP: 25.81, PFR: 12.90, 3Bet Preflop: 7.69, Hands: 31)
Villain (CO): $67.51
(VPIP: 23.08, PFR: 17.69, 3Bet Preflop: 5.45, Hands: 133)
BTN: $39.28 (VPIP: 17.86, PFR: 11.73, 3Bet Preflop: 2.41, Hands: 199)
SB: $17.50 (VPIP: 23.49, PFR: 11.41, 3Bet Preflop: 6.67, Hands: 150)
BB: $11.18 (VPIP: 15.00, PFR: 15.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 20)
UTG: $25.00 (VPIP: 16.88, PFR: 10.39, 3Bet Preflop: 5.41, Hands: 78)
UTG+1: $24.57 (VPIP: 6.06, PFR: 4.55, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 66)
Hero (MP): $41.08
SB posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25
Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero
, Hero raises to $1.00
, MP+1 calls $1.00, CO
calls $1.00, fold
I put in a raise here with a decent drawing hand that plays well pre flop. I can mostly get away from this hand easily if I don't connect. If I hit the flop hard, I can generally stack, but I'm mostly looking to take a pot down.
Flop: ($3.35, 3 players)
Hero bets $1.00
, CO raises to $3.67
This is one of the best flops that I could see for my hand multiway and decided to lead out and continue here to disguise my hand. Of course, I'm not upset if I take the pot down here. However, when I get raised by the villain here, I can pretty much put him on an A here. I have 12 definite outs, so this looks like a sure call.
Assigned range: AT+, 88-JJ, 33 (QQ and KK would likely have 3bet pre)
Turn: ($10.69, 2 players)
checks, CO bets $8.01
The turn gives me 3 more outs. The villain puts in a big bet as I expect here. Raising is out of the question here as the villain has a legit hand too often here and I'm obviously not ahead.
I'm getting a little more than 2-1 odds
here, and with 15 outs, I win about 30% here. I'm also pretty sure that I can extract another bet out of the villain, especially if I hit of my straight outs. I make the call.
River: ($26.71, 2 players)
checks, CO bets $17.80
Straight card hits my hand here and I check here as I planned to if hitting the straight. In hindsight here, I should probably be betting this spot more than often out of position since there is a chance my opponent could check a strong hand behind.
However, my opponent puts in another big bet and it seems very likely that he has a huge hand like AA, AT, TT, or 77.
I'd love to see your feedback on this hand, and I'm pretty sure what I'll see regarding my action on the river which I will post later. Thanks!
