without reads this is tough... but I think I still call here... he may have a FD or even AJ although very unlikely... if he has a set of course that sucks but you have BDFD outs... I also dont think this move always means a set..

Standard call imo.
Fish do this with Jx,FDs,funky 2pairs and overpairs, decent regs might do this with combo draws and sets.
And since there are more fish then decent regs at 25nl i asume he is a fish.

Don't fold aces in a 3-bet pot.

You're going to see AJ most often here. KK-JJ and 88 some of the time.

Call.

Call. The range for these people doing this is a lot wider than just sets.

What kind of plan do you expect him to have with aces?

You raise it, evaluate how your opponent gets to the flop (if they raised before you and called, if they limp called etc) and whatever you know about the way they play, put them on a broad range and see a flop. Their range almost invariably includes a ton of pocket pairs and two pair possibilities. If they show aggression then you have to weigh up whether or not they know what they're betting into and if they're bluffing or not.

There's way too many variables involved to have a set plan to call or fold to an all in when you have AA.

I wouldn't fold that without a soul read. Which is obviously impossible since you said "no reads."

Everyone's said pretty much the same thing in different ways.

Last time I had the same thing happen at 25nl I had QQ and I still shoved, flop was lower than this and he had JJ, so I was in a much less clearcut situation as sometimes people will just flat the 3 bet with AA. But here you have the AA so it's an automatic.

Why are there too many variables? Apart from timing tells how can these variables not be anticipated.

standard call. Although the donk bet kinda bothers me. If this guy is a fish, he has any jack, 2 pair, middle pair (betting that you didnt hit that jack.) and sometimes air. Most of the time I think you are ahead here. If it is a reg, he could be holding KJ-QQ. You might not also be getting much credit since you are so new to the table. Either way, I think you are ahead of the range.

i severly doubt a reg will be holding KJ at this point..
