Call PF is fine imo, but I 3bet here to narrow his range. Fold to a 4bet. The way you played you are oop without initiative.

Not sure why you chose to donk this medium dry flop, but as played at least bet bigger. He likely hit something on this flop texture, a pair, straight draw, gutshot, etc. But I prefer to let him cbet, then call (which I think is better than c/r as you only fold out what he missed). Your smallish lead signals a vulnerable hand. He will call this with nearly ATC in position.

So the turn J scares you (AQ got there...) and your check screams weakness after you min-donked the flop. As played, I don't mind the call and river is a fold.

Raise pre, bet flop and re-evaluate on turn.

I prefer a 3 bet pre as you get to fold out his K10's and small pockwt pairs which can hit a set. and then i dont understand the donked flop, most times you are ahead here so you can probabally get more value by letting him c bet. could see him checking back AA so by this point you are probably against AQ KJ, or K10 in my opinion.

In hindsight this hand is always going to be oop and difficult. I agree the key is to narrow his range and a big raise preflop looks the best way. Still big problems if he just calls though.

u cant put him in any hand u have no clue, he could have 23o, he was betting and representing the same hand that u have, and u kept calling and mis representing your hand, ofcourse its a 3bet preflop ,more than so u r out of position. if not check raise the flop.
u just put yourself in tough position for no reason playing the guessing game.
