got sick of him 4bing me and decided to flat pre even though i was oop. imo this is a snap call on the turn when he checks back the flop then just ships it over my half pot turn bet. thoughts?

seems like either an all out bluff or he hit trips (5's or 7's) on the flop. odds of him calling and raising with 4 6 to hit the str8 would be a real donk player. Playing live is easier to read the players Ive found

How many times did he 4bet? Did they go to showdown..what'd he show?

I fold

He's nitting it up pre..I don't see how you can call profitably vs his pre range. Could he be spazzing AK or aqs (spades?) His lines awfully fishy..probably slowplaying

I dont like a call oop tbh, shove or fold for me. I probably let this go pre before the 3bet, then nail him with any PP or big ace.

As played I think he could be spazzing here, but I think he has it because of the check on the flop. Maybe 10s or an overpair.

not the best hand to make a stand with.. OOP too?

5 bet shove before calling OOP here :/

you get spots like these..

fold, a 14/8 just shoved over you and you have 2nP.

If he 4-bets your 3-bets 100% either jam or don't 3-bet to begin with.

okay thanks for the feedback.

im morally opposed to 5b bluffing lol, if he calls im crushed, but im pretty sure A7s is pretty okay vs his 4b range seeing as its 100% of his opening range hence the 4b flat ( i realise that im OOP though so its kinda irrelevant)

i snapped it off and he showed A9o. might be outlevelling myself in this spot w/ others, but seeing as he was so bluffy with his 4bs pre (i assumed based on 100%), i felt like he was more than capable of bluffing post. what better way to bluff than c/shove, especially over a half pot bet

A7 is a horrible hand to 3bet against against a 100% 4-bettor considering his opening range (against an 8% range you have 35% equity). Fold pre.

hes a fair bit wider cos its a CO open, but yes, point taken. i was kinda just getting a bit steamed of his constant 4bets, plus a guy that tight minraising is not something i can see being done with a real hand :p

as played I have no trouble snapping this off, he's representing precisely nothing.

im morally opposed to 5b bluffing

Don't do this. This is like saying, "I don't like to go all-in with AK preflop."

Ranges are not static. Clearly if his 4-bet % is absurd (as it is) then you're going to have fold equity, especially if his 4-bets have been working against you. Also, it's not the worst thing in the world to show down a trash hand once in a while in a spot where you should never have a bluff.

I wouldn't overdo it on that. LOL. But you will probably have 30%+ equity when called.
