I like the play, however I have a good sense of what the other guy may have had.

Simply based on the action, what would you put him on?

He could have a hand like AK, which would definitely lead to the 3-bet pre-flop, and also the call on the flop. However in this situation when you turn a wheel holding AK, I don't think most players would fold to your turn bet if they still give themselves A, K, and 3 as possible outs if they truly believe you have a Q.

What is more likely, is that your action folded out a larger pocket pair. So simply by taking the line you did, you actually got probably 66-TT off their hand.

With that said, I think if he called your bet on the turn, I wouldn't be betting on the river under any circumstances. I think it is a bad spot to possibly get check-raised.

Nice steal of pot, the way of your hand you played very well, looks like you kick off large pairs, representing Q, or wheel, anyway this idea with double barrel workswell. If you decide c/c you hoiping for straight and only, if miss fold.

This is a really bad call pre-flop unless you have a read that your opponent will give up on the flop like this. Most opponents will cbet here, forcing you to fold on ~80% of flops.

i dont like betting the flop because we dont know why he is checking the flop.

Reasons why he could be checking
he hit the board hard and is trying to fool you
pot control but also has hit
given up

Yup, major spew pre. We should fold 22-66, call 77-99 3B GII 1010+.(77 is close to a call or fold and villain dependent.) This is with assuming an 8% 3bettor is probably 3 betting 10-12% from the SB vs BTN.

Thank you for your opinions. I thought I can call, because we were pretty deep and I had position. According to the 20x-rule I thought the Call pre is fine (don't have exactly 20x behind and playing vs reg but I thought it's still ok). Am I wrong?

Add in the factor that you wont always get paid. Most times though we wont need to hit our set but we need to be able to learn real quick when we are behind or it will eat our winrate
