Did I lost value in this hand by not getting it in? I was a little bit afraid of a set..Is betting flop, turn and river better? Opponent is a TAG. Thank you :)

Yes, you lost value. But you lost value mainly because you gave his drawing range a free card on a low board. At least you got river value and checking the turn will widen his value calling range. But regardless, the answer is yes.

That's not the board to be ubber worried about a set on.

You're playing way too scared to not have bet the turn for fear of a set especially since a TAG would probably have re-raised you on the flop if he did have one. I'd personally be more worried about a possible flush draw and making him pay to see another card.

If he's a TAG, he's going to have a lot of weaker overpairs/flush draws OTT. Also sets raise the flop a decent %, so his range is skewed even more towards overpairs/flush draws. Large river bet is good. It looks super bluffy.

I would bet big sum on the turn , in order to throw away the SB.

hope you won.

Blind vs blind, he's going to be wider than usual. Bet the turn!!! This is a perfect spot to just bet-bet-bet.

As played, this looks very much like JJ/TT/99.

Why do you want him to fold???

Thank you all! I also think that I missed a lot of value.

Hero shows K:club: K:heart: (Two Pair, Kings and Eights)
(Pre 81%, Flop 90%, Turn 86%)
SB shows 9:club: 9:heart: (Two Pair, Nines and Eights)
(Pre 19%, Flop 10%, Turn 14%)
Hero wins 105.77 BB
