$25 NL HE 6-max: Huhh??? 77 V. A9

Ok, so I had been at this table for a while and had a read that this guy with 77 was fairly TAG, and I had narrowed his hole cards to mid pairs or overcards by the flop. I was pretty sure I could get him off his hand, which is why I was betting: until the river, when I knew I had him. I was wondering if you gouys could tell me what you think HIS thought process could have been in the hand::

If you're playing hands in this fashion regularly and he's picked up on it, he's likely correctly putting you on a lousy hand and thinks he's getting value. He should've raised the flop if that's what he was thinking, so his bad.

Well no, I would rarely play a hand like this. I think I played this hand pretty badly until the river. Thanks for your input though, I appreciate it.

Saying that you put him on mid pairs on the flop, what was going through your mind when the flop was low enough to complete a set for him?

Mid pairs not low pairs, I don't think it is very likely that he has 33 or 44 here.
