OK, another spot where I just realize how bad I suk at reading players. He could have A8, but AQ, KQ, or be trapping with a set. AK and premium PP are gonna repop pre IMO. His initial call and then call of the 3 bet pre makes me want to give up on this hand after he calls again OTF. Is this a bad way to think??

b/f like $5 or c/f, seems close. It really depends on how wide he's calling this flop, it's not super drawy but for sure he calls 1 with 99-JJ/8x and sometimes JT/J9/T9 type hands.

Its common for people to c-bet and give up in these exact spots so people can also float you. So you could also check/call i suppose. I dont just wanna give up here anyways unless we have reads.

normally I would bet, but given the fact that this guy is so passive you can actually check and if he gets agro fold, if not just check it to showdown.

anyway, you should tell us what's his fold to 3bet, even tho it might be a too small sample it might already show a pattern.

I assume you were betting the flop for value so the turn strengthens your hand (fewer Q combos, less likely to give you credit). With his passive/stationy nature I bet turn and river and feel really good about being called by worse. If he raises at any point we fold. A turned Ace or Kings sucks but that Queen is a great card for you.

Your squeeze is on the small size pre. Really easy bet, if he was more taggy I'd be more likely to ch/c but he has a lot of middle pairs that aren't folding on that turn card. Get some value!

This hand plays out easier if you raise bigger pre to like $3.50.

Ya, 3 bet does seem a little small taking into account the that btn calls pre.

Id probs b/f half pot on the turn here.

I'm with WVH here, bet for value until you're faced with a raise.
