$25 NL HE 6-max: Flopped baby straight on the BB in a mutliway limped pot versus 3-bet

Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 60/20/1

I only had 10 hands on villain.

No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

saw flop | saw showdown

CO ($33.14)
Button ($25)
SB ($37.30)
Hero (BB) ($25)
UTG ($26.63)
MP ($18.92)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 2

, 3

UTG calls $0.25, MP calls $0.25, 2 folds, SB calls $0.15, Hero checks

Flop: ($1) 5

, 6

, 4

(4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $1, UTG calls $1, MP raises $4, 1 fold, Hero...

My read was he has limped with ever a weak ace suited and is on a flush draw and try to semi-bluff.
That or he can also have limped with a small pocket pair like 77 and hit over pair with OESD or 66 to 44 and hit a set which he tries to protect against a drawly board.

I'm not too worried about the UTG caller who is a calling station and have probably not hit hard the flop.

I've not been crazy during these 10 hands we played against each over (21/17 agg factor of 2.6) so I don't think he puts me on a flop steal.

Firstly would you have lead here on the flop?
And once done, given our hand and the action after us what would you do here?

The only hand your really worried about is 78s because 73 wouldnt have called preflop.(maybe the sb could have it) That being the case I would reraise here 100% of the time. My goal would be to get as much as possible in on the flop because the turn card could either kill your action or bust you if you let people draw cheaply.

Don't be shy about re-raising. You have the second nuts (well, third) on a coordinated baby board versus people who will probably have a really hard time folding even a hand like 99 versus a shove at this point.

Leading is by far my preferred (and default) play when I flop a monster in an unraised pot. I'd need to have a very specific reason to something else.

Yup, I lead as well. In a limped pot there's a good chance you're up against 55/44/33/54/43, or A7/A2 or overpair. If he has 78 I'd consider it a cooler, similar to losing set over set.

Raise. IMHO they're holding a big over pair (AA, KK, QQ, etc) or they've hit a set. Either way you shouldn't be worried about investing a bit more to this pot.

Raise for vaule and protection on that flop. Shove to his re-raise. Ur gonna get paid by ppl who hold 33/44/55/66/77/JJ+/Ax on flush draws. These ppl will have a hardtime folding. So get it in while u have the best of it :)

I think the same as the majority here, Raise and then shove if there is a reraise.

I may get slated for this, but you could just call the re-raise here, he could be playing the semi flush draw, 2 pair, no way your folding, that way your showing weakness here, your more likely to squeeze more out of him from a turn raise.
If he has the nuts, like nine says its a cooler.

I may get slated for this

Correct;)

If we call half the deck will kill our action or put us behind:

Any 2
Any 3
Any 4
Any 5
Any 6
Any 7
Any 8
Any Heart

Straights should never be slowplayed! (well 99% of the time)

Thanks folks.
Was pretty sure my play was correct but would like some confirmation ;)

As for my play, I ended 4-bet shoving as I can't let him draw for free if he was on a draw and I would also like to extract value before a blank or a scary card for him freeze his aggression.

Well I pushed and he quickly called with a flush draw... That was for the good thing :)
The bad thing is that more than a flush draw he ended up getting better straight than mine with his 7h3h and no 7 for a chop either at turn or river. :(

I still asking myself why he get involved in the hand by calling UTG limp in such an early position with 73s  but hey I think I don't have to complain as it's probably that kind of player who makes my bread and butter :)

As a proof I ended this session up by more than 2 buy-in mostly because of this guy :D
