I wouldn't have raised/bet the same amount post-flop as pre-flop.

Looks pretty good to me!

#1 Small blind flat calls and then tries to check raise on the flop.
#2 Looks like a boring flop.
#3 heart flush draw on flop but you hold the :ah4: so they would have to be bluffing a Ace of hearts flush which isn't possible haha.
#4 Small blind gave up on river out of position. That $10 semi-bluff bet on river just sealed the deal. Again you have the Ace of hearts so you could represent that you have the nuts flush.

I like it! :D

You probably could have bet 6.5-7 and got the same range to fold on the river.

Thanks John. That's exactly what I was wondering. I needed to know how to lose less in the case the villain does make a hero call. The villain had 60VP and 27PFR (big fish, if not a whale).

Nice bluff on the river, with Ace of heart you can represent the nut flush. However it's questionable action when you already know your opponent is a fish. Fish love to call down to see your hold cards :))

the crazy villain stats completely change things (against someone with more normal stats your line is total spew). still don't think i really like the river bluff. his Jx is still top pair, his heard draws hit, and even bottom pair made trips. doesn't seem like there should be much you're able to bluff.

i also don't think your river bet sizing is consistent with what you would bet for value.

Against a normal opponent, fold the flop as a standard. Villains play lot of Jx type hands on average. By holding the ace of heart you block some of his bluffs and make it more likely that he is betting for value with a set or something.

Since the opponent is crazy I think the way you reacted is just fine. On the river I think you should just check back. Your bluff needs to succeed 50% of the time in order to work. I think it might work 30 to 40% which isn't enough. Betting less won't work either, because his chances of calling go up.

Very nicely played indeed. Don't mind the bet on the river as some people like to hero call and we want to apply max pressure so a bigger bet has a better chance of getting through. :)

Did you show your hand?

I just wonder why villain so aggressive on flop/turn and suddenly change tune on the river.

I don't like the Cbet given you said he was a 60/20 aswell as the river bluff is Jx ever folding?
