re: Poker & $25 NLHE 6-max: CALL OR FOLD PLEASE HELP
I know CWLRS. He's a good winning reg, plays kinda loose and pretty aggressive. He's never bluffing
here though I don't think. So what can he have? possibly a straight like 89 but I'm sure he'd be raising the turn with that given the two diamonds (because he can rep a flush draw therefor getting value from your top pair and overpair hands and he can get value from your flush draws, calling turn with a straight is a mistake here that I don't expect), He might even raise flop with his gutshot for fold equity.
Any set would definitely atleast raise turn given that the board is now pretty drawy with the exception of MAYBE JJ but he might 3bet that pre - and AA is far too unlikely to even consider, so I'm ruling a set out.
So if he's raising his draws and his made hands on either flop or turn then what hands is he calling down with and then raising river? He could have any two pair with ace, but most likely only AJ given his sizing and the fact that your line looks very strong too, JJ is slightly possible I guess but we can't be afraid of that, 89dd which was the absolute nuts and so didn't want to raise you off your hand, and MAYBE just a normal straight which played badly. I think it's close and I'm probably calling if I don't know villain and taking a note because of the weird line but a fold here is perfectly fine and in all honesty probably the better play.
Aces2w1n - He can't check/call river as he has position, it's either bet/call, bet/fold or check behind. You played it fine imo and either decision on the river is probably OK.
