$25 NL HE 6-max: AKs in weird spot preflop

Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 19/13/2.9

Villain is a frequent poster on the other forum. pretty solid. Should we be shoving over for the dead money? flatting? I'm lost

I don't have any 6 max experience, but I think AKs is a very strong hand 6 handed. Add in the fact that he's playing 50bbs and it's a call for me.

I think this is a pretty standard shove honestly. His raise/re raise line could put you anywhere from dominating AQ, tying AK, or racing QQ. I doubt that SB has AA/KK and that's really all you're worried about. He may have one of your aces but AK v QQ with an ace missing is still only 42/58 preflop. You're getting almost 2:1 against UTG.

The reason for shoving instead of flatting is because you don't want the sb to outflop you (or outplay) and force you to fold so he can face the UTG. You're going to be facing a flop shove regardless a lot here. Raising puts him to the decision.

I think the issue is with the SB right?

Cold calling is generally pretty big strength, but given the dead money and the fact that the stakes mean he's capable of cold calling something kinda crappy like TT leans me towards just jamming. We're never flatting; flat and see a 25T flop against SB and we're lost.

If you're just talking about utg it's an easy ship.

ya issue is SB, just screams strength to me.

Sb snapped my shove with AA, and i didnt hesitate at making the move, but afterwards really am i a favorite vs anything he flatts there? 1010 at worst? and if he flats there i dont see this opponent folding when ss shoves and i reshove.

a shove gets him to fold a,k and any pairs he can cold call with that he'll fold to a shove with, probably even as high as queens

you think he folds qq if i reshove over a SSer? cuz i snapcall that spot all day vs a 22/20 player like me. (if im villain) maybe even JJ

pretty sure you should shove here always given AKs's equity in a multiway pot + card removal + it's 25nl so the guys could have weird stuff like A8
