SB: $23.38
BB: $19.00
UTG: $25.89

SB posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero has A:club: K:diamond:

fold, Hero raises to $1.00, SB calls $0.90, fold

Flop: ($2.25, 2 players) 5:club: 9:heart: 2:heart:
SB checks, Hero bets $1.50, SB raises to $3.00, Hero calls $1.50

Turn: ($8.25, 2 players) A:diamond:
SB checks, Hero bets $5.00, SB raises to $10.00, Hero

Ok so I probably should've folded on the flop but I accidentally confused him for another player at the table who had been doing that sort of thing. No reads at all on this guy but he's probably bad since he doesnt have a full stack and hes a 50/0 over 6 hands. Should I just say **** it and jam turn or fold?

Personally I'd jam it, here's why.

I have TPTK against a completely unknown, his line is so weird I want to find out what kind of garbage he does this with and add a note for future encounters (provided he calls, which he will).

The amount of hands that beats us is less than half of the hands he can play like this. Worst case scenario, he does this with a set, 34s or A9. He can also be doing it with a boatload of flushdraws, 9x, any pocket pair, hell, maybe even some gutshots. Usually you'll run into some kinda A-high flushdraw, I can easily see him holding the Ah8h, which could (somewhat) explain the way he's playing this.

If that was me I would have taken the free card on the turn and paid off any bet on the river that wasn't a huge overbet. Get the info as cheap as possible. The downside is losing value in this given situation (IF we are ahead), but the information is worth alot more in the long run.

By the way, the call on the flop is fine, provided you think hitting an A or K will give you the lead, just be aware that Ah or Kh could screw you over real bad. I'd only make the call if I "knew" villain wasn't drawing.

Meh just fold. Calling your stack to gain info is silly in a WA/WB situation.

It is a weird line though some people annoyingly do it, I don't remember seeing anyone do it on a pure bluff though, and FDs are unlikely to do this - why not bet the scare card himself if he c/r a FD?

You basically got Baluga'd twice :D

Whats the point of stacking here to make a note? If he does call he beats you and you make an obv note like "likes to min-raise sets" if he folds then you learn nothing, but he never folds here so you just get to learn that his line means he's strong....which you can tell without losing a stack

Interestingly I think that type of answer shows weird lines will make regs spazz out. I remember calling a 3-bet with QQ in position to a tight 3-bettor,

I called the cbet, both checked turn, he checked river , I "put him on AK" at that point, so I bet $4 into what was like a $25 pot on a JxxxJ board, for thin value and to induce him, he put me on a small PP probably and spazzed out half his remaining stack. So maybe the double check/min-raise could be used for that too vs the right opponents
