The more aggressive he is postflop, the more I want to c/c this river. He's spazz betting lots of his pairs, and has tons of missed draws that aren't calling river once we bet.

Conversely, the more passive he is, the more I want to just value bet to get calls from those pairs that could be checking back.

This... but in this scenario, unlikely he will have small pairs to bet with since a lot of those have now been counterfeited, so I'd likely c/c river. If he's super passive, then c/f may even be appropriate depending on sizing.

I'd address your bet sizing more than anything in the hand, its obv a big leak as you prob do it for many if not all your hands..

Please expand by saying what's wrong with it rather than just saying it's wrong. How am I meant to learn anything from that?

I would defo bet bigger pre. 2.00-2.25ish. I doubt he is folding any more or less regardless.

Any stats post flop? Is he giving up on cbets, or still calling a lot? You could bet bigger OTF, and very much so OTT. The river play has been addressed.

He is super passive pre, so going for good value street for street aint bad. This is just me, but vs this guy, I want to be betting to make that river bet an easy decision. He obviously has hands in his range that beat us, but on this board, his Tx, bigger OP all feel good calling 3 streets here.

Just wondering.... Is there any reason we DONT want to bet/bet and have a river bet left that gets us easily in the way this board runs?

Your bet sizing is fine imo, but in general against huge fish like this guy you want to really push the limits of how big you can make your value bets. As big as they'll call preflop, and %80 or %85+ of the pot postflop depending on texture.

In terms of his passiveness, it's only 25 hands but his afq was 47%. The fact he's folded to 3/4 cbets tells me hes not one of these fish that don't have a fold button.

Anyway it seems that most of u are advocating check/calling to be best. In game I did check, does his bet size make u want to fold or are we still calling?
