Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 18/10/6

Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 18/10/6

trying to get used to 6 tabling zoom now so I ****ed up on what happened pre.. flop is an obv x/r for value looking back, planned on x/ring decent turns but then the T came which is pretty terrible but also gives him a bunch of hands that will bet/call a bet with equity e.g. (KQ/FD's/SD's)

river??

I think it's a call. You can beat many hands in his range, like J10, Q10, busted flush draws. I definitely wouldn't put him on 89 , or 77. some other set - also not likely imo.
it might make more sense for him to have AK, but I think it's a call. he could have something that doesn't beat your 2 pair, or he might be just bluffing with a busted draw.

Fold, 18/10 not bluffing here often and it's literally never worse for value.

that was pretty much my thought process except we have blockers to his sets, so this is like AK/98/TT and bluffs.. still probably a fold though

pussy sizes?

OMGITSOOVER9k, please tell us what actually happened? Did you make a good fold or a good call? did he show the bluff?

I seem to be in a disagreement with everyone:)
can someone explain to me why you think fold is correct?
and the rationale behind the opponent having one of the hands that can beat QJ? there is only a handful.
the only hand that I could put him on that can beat us is AK of spades.
suppose he has any other AK, or maybe K9, or 98 (the last one is ridiculous) , then why doesn't he raise on the turn?? you know, for value, to protect against possible flush draws? seems like a perfect spot for those hands to raise.
does he have a set of deuces, jacks, queens? he bets the flop- of course that makes sense, but what is his rationale for not raising on the turn? he thinks he has the best hand, but doesn't want to protect it on such a draw heavy board? or is he worried about us having made a straight already- and that is why he goes crazy on the river?
if he has a set, doesn't his hand have good showdown value? then why not just call a river bet? (with any set at all, including 101010, or 777)

I think the villain's story doesn't make sense from the point of view of almost any hand that can beat us.
but it makes sense to me from the point of view of K10 of spades , or A9 of spades, or A10 spades. the only way for him to win on the river is to bluff at it, and his hand doesn't have showdown value in my opinion.
i just really want to understand how a hand that can beat us would play this way.

-An 18/10 isn't bluff shoving this deep. Does he ever do this with 67s? KT?
-An 18/10 also isn't value shoving anything worse than QJ this deep. QT? JT?

This is AK almost all the time imo.

AQ is my bet. With AK he wouldn't have bet on the flop with such stats, imo. I would have called.
