$25 NL HE 6-max: 25NL: Confusion. What happened here?

This hand was a wile back, and while I don't remember the villains stats, I do remember that he was one of the better players at the table.

poker stars $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players

Hero (CO): $24.15
BTN: $26.55
SB: $50.25
BB: $25.00
UTG: $25.05
MP: $17.80

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is CO with A Q
2 folds, Hero raises to $1, 1 fold, SB calls $0.90, BB calls $0.75

Flop: ($3.00) K 5 3 (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($3.00) A (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $1.50, SB calls $1.50, BB folds

River: ($6.00) A (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $3.75, SB raises to $10, Hero??

Don't think there's much else to do but call here unless you think he'll call a shove with a worse ace.

Looks to me like Ax value cutting itself, or some ridiculous slowplayed monster which you have to pay off anyways. Could also be a busted draw going for a bluff, in which case calling > shoving again.

Bleh. Shoving to get value from a worse ace is an option, but if he's decent, its a pretty thin option. I think I like calling here.

Why not flop c-bet? Seems like a nice flop to c-bet... especially up against the blinds.

Hmm 24 or AK or KK to beat you. It just seems like to large a reraise if he has either of those. I call. It is hard for me to imagine he is in with 24 to a 4BB preflop. So that is AK or KK. And if he has either he is going to want you to call what he puts out there. And it is just soooo easy for him to have made an error in judgment here to explain the push, and you are good against almost everything.
