check behind on river... he 3bet pre so dont be suprised he has you crushed like a nut flush or aa kk

u actually beat nothing. perhaps on a 2bet pot u may run a bluff but villain 3bets so we know hes tighter.

huh?

What hand did you expect him to fold on the river?

Yeah, I think you're better off checking the turn for pot control since you have position and the Qs and going into showdown mode. Trying to bluff someone w/ Q's at these stakes playing in a 3-bet pot from the SB vs your UTG open... no words for what you're doing here.

Easiest turn check of my life. I guess we can bet to protect our hand against AK with a spade but that is a pretty small portion of his range. I would just be glad a scare card came to make it easier for me to make it to showdown.

I think what people are saying is that when this player checks the turn they will probably also check the river. Betting the turn isn't such a bad idea because it does "protect" your hand, but it isn't totally necessary. But the river bet is only getting called by KK, AA, and if you're hoping to get hero called by ace high, it's so rare that you get called that it's not worth it.

I like your play preflop and also on the flop flatting QQ. You both are deep enough and QQ that deep is good for a call. You don't want to 4bet and get reraised with 150bb behind you. Good call on the flop, liking it so far. On the turn he checks. You also want to check because even though you're hand looks good you still have a lot of equity you can hit a J or a spade which is good enough to call a river bet. You elect to bet which Im not a fan of, what worst hand are you getting value from? JJ straight draws, flush draws. The rest beat you, KK AA, made straights made flushes. So check, behind. The all in is aweful, just check behind and go to showdown...
