I am playing 27/20/2

Villain is a super agr fish playing 92/20/29 AF, somehow still winning. 51 hands.

Table is not adapting, I am like the only one trying to play marginal spots vs him. He just doubled up on me with a flushdraw vs a set on the flop. Also he is very pissed at me, calling me names in chat.

I have notes on him that say: bets pot on riv with air. Triple barrels air, pot on all streets. C/R A6 hi on flop and fires turn and riv.

Basically guy keeps betting pot pot pot. and all of a sudden we get to this river where I make 2 pair, normally I would be fistbumping here but he decides to bet half pot on riv which got me thinking if I should raise or just call.

Life gets easier if you tighten up your preflop range.
As played you need to cbet that flop.
Delayed donk bet on the turn could be atc's
Looks like a river fold...

Flat this 100% of the time I'd think. We have great SD value but coming over the top will fold out pretty much everything we beat probably and only get action or shoves from stuff we're behind.

So basically flat here and fist pump with the pot b/c no way does he have 2p beat here most of the time.

You're going to end up OOP multiway with a weak hand like this, why aren't you snapping this off if youre so confident in opening it pre and why arent you betting the flop with 90/20 in the hand

the reason why I didn't cbet pot is because I am dealing with a maniac and I don't want to play a huge pot with second pair.

at least 2-3 times he check raise me on the flop, and I had to give up because I had nothing. I guess this is pretty relevant and I should have posted it earlier.

think about it, I cbet, he pots me again, pots turn and pots riv, either all the money goes in, or I have to fold my pair, which I don't want to do.

I think you played it fine. Probably a bit loose pre flop but I like checking back flop. River is obviously a call though shouldn't need to be posted (I assume he had like KT/K3/K9/K6 or you wouldn't be posting).

yeah, I don't get preflop either. You have a maniac who is calling wide and playing back at you a ton, plus you're OOP vs. the rest of the table. There are far better spots where you are going to be IP vs. the maniac, presumably with a much better hand.

Raise river to about $13.
Defo some value to be had here vs this guy. Flatting is burning money!

I also raise this pre as long as the CO and BTN aren't super loose, I'm looking for any opportunity to play vs this huge fish in position so my normal opening ranges are going to be widened considerably.
Well played unless you flatted the river ;)

As I said, everyone was pretty nitty and I was just trying to get in hands with this guy and nobody was really staying in our way.

I did eventually took all his money, or at least what he has on the table.

I can't find the hand in HEM anymore, I am not used to it, but I flatted river and he had K2, so he was value betting top pair.
