Alright so this was my first sesssion at 6-max since moving from fullring and villain is 25/13/2 with a 3Bet of 3% for like 55 hands. Interested in opinions on line here. Is it too passive?

FWIW, I ran at 23/20/2.5 with a 3Bet% of 8 for the whole session not sure about particular table though.

Also I might be interested in doing a sweat with a 6-max player just to get the hang of the value ranges and other subtleties.

Preflop and flop look pretty standard to me. That tiny turn bet though looks pretty weak by villain, I wouldn't mind making a small raise on the turn to about $8-9 then shutting down if he calls and folding if he raises. Basically raising the turn for a free showdown, and to charge overs+draws+77-99

looks fine, you can raise turn really small if you think he'll still call with draws and like A4

I'd also consider betting the river for like $5-$9. But yeah, pretty much what vanq said.

NO NO NO. You open up a huge window if you bet the river. You will either get a fold or a raise, I mean maybe a call from 6s or something but just maybe. I raise the turn here to about $12. The discussion about getting the possibility of a check on the river is a strong point. If you opponent has trips, he may now check to you on river with the fear of the straight, but if you just call the turn, he may still bet at you and you would possibly lose more money on the hand to trips, if you call.

I would have raised turn and then played river accordingly. But no value bet attempt here, just opens the door for trouble/very hard decision.

I don't think he really is ever going to check-raise the river here. I think he's almost always calling or folding. The only hand he might raise that MIGHT be in his range would be 33. His check there was basically screaming some kind of overpair trying to just get a cheap showdown or AK AQ that has given up.

Ya I'm still wondering whether or not I should've bet here. His 3Bet range was pretty tight and it was a smallish 3Bet which I think made me weigh his range more towards AK, JJ+ type of hands that maybe wanted a call preflop. Of course he probably goes for 3 streets value with AA, KK and probably QQ. So I definitely think there is a case for betting river but I thinkk it's pretty close.

I think in the bet river vs. raise turn argument, it mostly comes down to what kind of player they are. Good players are more likely to try & make Hero calls with like AK high or a small pair. Bad players are more likely to want to see the turn, hoping they'll hit a pair.

This guy, with his 25/13/2 is probably more towards the TAG end of the spectrum, but its tough to say which line is better.

I also agree, this is never never never a check/raise on the river. The river card is a scare card (even if there are few 3's in your range, he may not know this). Additionally, this guy seems like a straight forward TAGfish, and I've almost never seen this kind of player CRAI on a river. Its mostly just a question of are we value-towning ourselves if we bet here.
