You tell me if I was just lucky or if he just got un-lucky.

I don't understand..neither of you is "lucky" or "unlucky". He made an awful call on the flop, got there, and then you filled. It could be considered a cooler if he didn't make such a terrible call when peeling the turn.

Peeling turn there in position with gutshot and overs is pretty standard i think. I know I call there every time against someone who raises a lot of flops. Rest of the hand plays itself. Hand was going to be a cooler for whoever lost.

Edit: Just saw villain was not fullstacked. Since he doesn't have a full stack his flop call is probably fairly spewy.

More like misplayed. I would have bet on the flop with flush and straight draws showing.
